Hao Sheng 盛浩

I am a research scientist at OpenAI, where I led the model developement of the currently deployed version of ChatGPT-4o and contributed to o1, GPT-4.5, and o3-mini. I now lead the RL evaluation and inference team.

Previously, I worked at Apple (SPG), TikTok, Landing AI, CICC, Amazon, and Citadel.

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Stanford University as part of Stanford Machine Learning Group and Stanford Computational Policy Lab. I was advised by Andrew Y. Ng and Sharad Goel. I have a B.A. in PPE (Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics) and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Yuanpei College, Peking University. I exchanged at HEC Paris and CUHK.

I taught Search and Recommendation Systems at ICME, Stanford University, in the Summer of 2023.
